WRITING REPORTS, REPORTING EVENTS
Writing reports or reporting events like accidents, games and sports, meetings, festivals is done essentially in the same technique. Some broad points are given and students are asked to write a report on them. The best and easiest way to write a report based on the given point is to connect the different points in a logical way with suitable connectors or phrases so to make a meaningful passage. A report should be written in simple language to enable it to be easily understood. The basic rule of writing a report is that the sentences should be written in the passive voice as far as possible. (Report লেখার সময় verb গুলি অধিকাংশ সময়ে passive voice - এ করা হয়।)

TO HEALTH
BY A STAFF REPORTER
Kolkata, October 17: Cut fruits and coloured drinks which are being sold
on the open streets and beside some well-known schools in our state, create a

open air uncovered and covered with the dust of the road. The drinks are often
coloured with unhygienic chemicals. It may break out in an epidemic form at any
time. In Kolkata, two persons have already died and nine children are suffering
from the enteric disease. To prevent these health hazards the Mayor has issued an
order to the Health Dept. Officials to see that the sale of cut fruits on the
